Culture Shock is een platform voor nieuwe interculturele muzikale samenwerkingen van De Voorkamer. Het faciliteert artistieke en sociale ontmoetingen waarbij muzikanten met verschillende culturele/muzikale achtergronden worden uitgenodigd om voor het eerst samen te creëren, een unieke ervaring voor te bereiden en die op het podium te brengen. Elke maand debuteren nieuwgevormde duo’s met een live optreden. We trappen de middag af met een vers duo van twee fantastische artiesten: de Braziliaanse multi-instrumentalist, zanger, songwriter en producer Gabriel Milliet en trompettist Alistair Payne uit Schotland.

Daarna gaat de muziek verder met nog een fris duo van enorm getalenteerde muzikanten met totaal verschillende artistieke achtergronden: de Iraanse santoorspeler Ghazale Moqanaki en de Nederlandse geluidskunstenaar en elektro-akoestisch componist Olivier Terpstra.

Culture Shock is a platform for new cross-cultural musical collaborations by De Voorkamer. It facilitates artistic and social experiences where musicians from different cultural/musical backgrounds are invited to create together for the first time, prepare a unique experience and bring it on stage. Every month, newly formed duos debut their live performance. To kick off the afternoon, we’re pleased to present a fresh duo formed of two amazing artists: Brazilian multi-instrumentalist singer, songwriter, producer Gabriel Milliet and trumpetist Alistair Payne from Scotland.
