Culture Shock is een platform voor nieuwe interculturele muzikale samenwerkingen. Ze creëren artistieke en sociale ervaringen waarin muzikanten met verschillende culturele achtergronden worden uitgenodigd om voor het eerst samen muziek te maken, een unieke performance te ontwikkelen en die op het podium te brengen. Elke maand presenteert een nieuw duo voor het eerst hun gezamenlijke live optreden.
In deze editie komen twee vergelijkbare (!) instrumenten uit verschillende delen van de wereld samen. Sara Brink-Nielsen op harp en Jack Sabbagh op kanun gaan een samenwerking aan om elkaars muzikale werelden te ontdekken en nieuwe muziekstukken te creëren. Benieuwd naar het resultaat? Culture Shock is a platform for new cross-cultural music collaborations. We facilitate artistic and social experiences where musicians from different cultural backgrounds are invited to create together for the first time, prepare a unique experience and bring it on stage. Every month, a fresh duo debuts their live performance.
