An informal artist meetup and a free space where diverse artists with various backgrounds can meet to exchange ideas about their work, inspire each other and make new connections. With special guests: Ellis Veth / Upscale Gallery

Ellis Veth is an artist and initiator of Upscale Galerie. She graduated from HKU, BA Fine Arts in 2016 and during corona launched the art project Upscale Galerie.

Upscale Galerie offers space for the visual arts. Paintings, drawings, sculptures, kinetic art, conceptual art, installations and video art etc. Also it’s a gallery that is 10 times smaller than the real world, it’s a 1:10 scale model of reality. It is not always possible to realize works of art in life-size format and this is also not always financially feasible, especially for the starting artist. So a small start is the ideal solution.

On the 13th of May Ellis will elaborate during Blender about how and why she started this initiative and what insights it has brought her so far.
